9 Digital Marketing Tools and More for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs

Running a small business can be difficult when you’re a one-person show or you only have a few employees. As a small business, we face difficulties that large corporations do not, such as not having enough people and having access to a lot of funds. So being able to juggle all of the different titles we have to fulfill while saving money is a must. Here are some free digital marketing tools or no upfront costs you could use for business:

  1. Hootsuite- https://www.hootsuite.com/

Hootsuite is a social media dashboard that can be used to preschedule posts with photos and videos. This dashboard does save a lot of time because you can preschedule and plan your daily posts for multiple social media platforms.

We absolutely love Google docs. Google Docs is basically a Microsoft Word that saves all your documents in the “cloud”, so you can access your documents anywhere.

And Google has done it again! Google sheet is similar to Excel. What we love about it is that they have templates that you can use for all of your business needs such as budgets, invoices, calendars, etc. There are also free ad ons available! 

  1. Google Forms- https://docs.google.com/forms/u/0/

Google Forms are awesome for surveys! You can use this to get customer feedback, run assessments, get contact information, and so much more! 

  1. Square- https://squareup.com/us/en

Square has a multitude of tools for businesses. They have a website creator that you can choose the free version and they will take a certain fee from your purchases. They also send you a free card reader when you sign up with them. They have a ton of tools that are reasonably priced and they will keep track of all of your purchases in one location. 

  1. Cash App- https://cash.app/

Cash App is by Square as well. They can be used to send and receive payments from people. If you choose to wait a few days for the funds to deposit into your account it is free. You can also choose to get your funds immediately for a small fee. 

  1. Canva- https://www.canva.com/

Canva is a content creation tool that is free. They have templates from Instagram posts, to business card templates, to lesson plans for school! There are also paid versions for premium features.

  1. Mailchimp – https://mailchimp.com/

Mailchimp provides email marketing tools and more for small businesses. It is a great tool to use for your email marketing campaign. A website can be created here as well.

  1. Google Analytics- https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/provision/#/provision

Google Analytics is like Facebook ads for Google search. Google Analytics provides you with your advertising return on investment (ROI), so you can discover what is working and what is not.
